few months ago I wrote about Magos Herrera Mexican singer and her album wonderful country, and since then I have had the opportunity to get to know more of their music and reach Whispering Orchids (2000), a compelling proposal, with Lyrics in English and Portuguese, and with the great wealth to be his debut album.
At first album, a regular artist defines his style, although it is difficult to capture in a few songs, in minutes, his whole background. But it is extraordinary jazz very well manages to convey his experience, the rhythms that have built his artistic personality, elements Latinos present in their memory and their senses.
The album comprises 10 songs, which highlight 3: As a poet, Orchids and Tea whispering oblivion, and of course the two songs she sings in Portuguese: Rote of Manha and A do mundo purity fell, which shows the influence of Brazilian artists (in 1996 produced a material with songs by Caetano Veloso and Djavan, among others, impossible to find). Certainly a singer who with his voice haunts.
