Purple night - My Blueberry Nights

Renowned Chinese director Wong Kar Wai made his first American film in 2007 under the title My Blueberry nigths having as one of its merits to present the debut of Norah Jones as an actress.

or simply Beth Elizabeth (Norah Jones) is a young New Yorker with a shaky hold on life and a recent failure of love; frequents the restaurant Jeremy (Jude Law) who becomes his confidant while savoring a slice blueberry stand. Suddenly decides to leave what little they have and go in search of items that make you cherished and understood.

in transit, which lasts nearly a year, working as a waitress in Memphis, where he becomes the confidante of a police alcoholic who suffers daily from enmity and ill-treatment of his wife, Sue Lynne (Rachel Weisz); the love-hate story has a tragic ending that will haunt the conscience of the widow. Following his path, Beth comes to Nevada and worked as a waitress in a casino, where he met Leslie (Natalie Portman) addicted to the game that uses the adrenaline to forget a past that is still present.

Music is one of the main attractions of the film, plus of course of the proceedings, and it is worth noting that the charge of the soundtrack was Ry Cooder (unforgettable contribution to the project Buena Vista Social Club .) Not only are songs by Norah Jones , also Cat Power , Gustavo Santaolalla , Amos Lee, among others.

purple night blues is a film made. The setting, the melancholy in the eyes of the characters, the dim lights, music, dialogue, achieve an extraordinary composition to the delight of the spectators, especially those who enjoy the night blues.

What Is A Blueprint Slide

Ten (possible) reasons for the sadness of thought Mephisto

Thanks to my good friend Hector came to my hands a great book of French intellectual and naturalized American George Steiner entitled Ten (possible) reasons for the sadness of thought , published by the Fondo de Cultura Economica within your collection Mockingbird.

83 pages in Dr. Steiner, aims to raise awareness of the limitations of understanding that human beings have the vastness and outline briefly the different faces of our main activity in life, thinking.

The person always lives in an eternal longing, a deep and indestructible melancholy, a background noise due to the smallness that represents the absolute. This leads to thinking about thinking, which leads us to run into several limitations that cause sadness, because we can not go beyond the search new outlets would take us all our lives and if we had other, we will not suffice.

There are some, of his 10 reasons, which I would highlight:

1. What we surely have thought millions of people before, and that human knowledge is limited, and we all take turns within these limits, the above remains room for originality, creativity.

2. Thinking is the activity that we spend more time in our lives, but is the least productive. Few thoughts are transformed into tangible benefits for our lives, and fewer (if any) that benefits humanity. In short we waste our thoughts, maybe that's why there are many who prefer to use this power to a minimum.

3. Despite the knowledge we have, our thoughts are always full of subjectivity, because we build according to our beliefs and circumstances. This approach takes us away from the truth.

4. Thought is not the same for everyone, not democratic, not even a desirable minimum standard, in our society are obviously brilliant people and other idiots.

5. The knowledge that a person can have for another is very low, since it knows only what is shown by outward expressions, ie you can not really know what you think and therefore it is.

6. The Language, writing, arts and all kinds of external manifestations of our thoughts are limited, which results in a disability in the expression of thought.

This essay is divided into 10 parts, 10 reasons, each of them invites us to reflect on something that we always value and may not reach, that even limited, enables us to keep in constant pursuit of happiness.

Luna Birthday Ovulation

István Szabó made into a movie in 1981, the adaptation of Klaus Mann's novel jittering Mephisto . It is noteworthy that the author is the son of Thomas Mann , Nobel Prize for Literature in 1929, and brother of Gustaf Grüdgend , famous German actor whose main interpretation was Mephistoles of the novel by Goethe, Faust.

life is precisely Gustaf, who is based in the novel and the film, under the name of Hendrik Höfgen and performed by actor Klaus Maria Brandener . Located in the Nazi era, shows the life of a famous actor who gives up the experience of his political thought to maintain the status that they had provided scenarios, ie, remains acting in their daily lives in fear repression and to lose everything.

The Hungarian director Szabó, achieved an excellent fit of the time and coordinates great performances, which earned him the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film in 1981 and standing ovations at the Cannes Film Festival. It has remained a stronghold of Hungarian cinema of the twentieth century and continues to talk about in the XXI.

the Nazi era has material for countless movies, but this co-production in Hungary, Germany and Austria has great value to present one of the aspects that are lived within the regime, the mutilated freedom of expression and its consequences: prostitution de las expresiones culturales.

Mfc Has Stopped Working.

foot nailed and a free taxi flag in each hand ... Ha ... ha ... ha ... ha ...
seems that only I see it, because the passes between people and mannequins
wink, traffic lights me three celestial
and oranges from the bowl in the corner I cast their blossoms, and so
half dancing, half flying,
melon is removed, he greets me, gives me a flag
and says goodbye.

(Sung)

know I'm crazy, crazy, crazy,
not you see the moon rolling in Callao
and a chorus of astronauts and children with
waltz dancing around me ...
know I'm crazy, crazy, crazy,
I see Buenos Aires from the nest of a sparrow;
and I saw you so sad, come, fly, I was the crazy guy
I have for you.
Loco, loco, loco, Buenos Aires after dark in your loneliness,
along the bank of your bedsheet will come with a poem and a torombon
to reveal the heart.
Crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy like an acrobat saltare
into the abyss of your neck until you feel your heart freaked
that freedom, and you'll see.

(Spoken)

And so the fool invites me to walk in their delusion
super-sport,
and we will run over the cornices
motor with a swallow. In Vieytes
applaud. Long live ...
fools who invented love
and an angel and a soldier and a girl
give us a dancing waltz.
come out to greet the beautiful people
and crazy but yours, which I, fool me, cause

bell with your laughter and finally looks at me and sings in a low voice:

(Singing) Love me

, crazy, crazy, crazy ...
Climb to the tenderness of madman in me, this wig ponete
lark and fly, Fly with me now:
veni, Love me crazy, crazy, crazy, open up your love
let's try
the tragic folly of reviving, come, fly, come, tra ... lala ... lara ...

White Stuff Clitoris Hurts

Balada para un loco What we celebrate? Our heroes

A 198 years of the proclamation of independence, there is the question of what we celebrate, the very fact or what we are 198 years later?

If we consider the first option, the celebration has meaning for all who partake of it, not cause us too many questions, but if we consider the second, the celebration takes on many questions, including:

What are the achievements that the Mexican nation has had over 198 years, which are cause for celebration?

Are we better or worse socially than 198 years ago, separating the elements of modernity?

What are the elements that have added value to the Mexican culture, from 1810?

this, I question it because when we talk about the things that make us feel proud as Mexicans, we refer to regular food, pre-Columbian architecture, the colorful, our people, our music, etc., All of them more than 198 years old. But what factors occurring after 1810 can join the list?; To me come to my mind many names of Mexican intellectuals who have left an important legacy in our culture, the architecture of the time porfiriana, mariachi music, the name of large Mexican companies that have achieved recognition beyond the borders of Mexico, Mexican artists have known Mexico as in other lands, etc.. Hundreds of individual efforts, not always involve domestic support. Regardless

the success stories, national symbols and the external elements of Mexican culture, Mexico is it a better country to live past 198 years? (Leaving aside the comforts of modernity), is a more just country, is it a country where the value of human life is respected, is it a country providing development opportunities for individuals and families, is it a country with more certainty and less uncertainty?

The celebration of the beginning of independence causes me too many questions. Finally add the following: why we celebrate the day beginning and not the day you eat?

Afghani Invitation Cards

thought of as Mexican opens a question, a search across thousands of
little gaps and land in my knowledge.

Mexico to me is its geography, history happened on their land, what the senses perceive in them, but the question comes with its people. Who are your heroes? Who are your children?

Fear, insecurity, confusion, doubt, vertigo. Where do I stand? Fact or fiction.

Octavio Paz wrote that "for the Mexican life is a chance to fuck or be fucked." So looks like it has been our history, or at least we have come as students and recipients of official history, written by the badass. I have no intellectual authority to dismantle the official truth, but if the right and obligation to compare versions.

Mexicans puffed with pride when we hear the name of our heroes national, but who made them heroes? Maybe if you could also read his boigrafías I consider heroes, or at least say that I admire some of the things they did, I am grateful for the dedication and courage that allowed Mexico where I live now, at least be a reasonable pride, not an act of faith.

I wonder which of the cases were national heroes because of their struggle as a Mexico prosperous for all?, Who sacrificed their personal interest in the country? I am sure that many who did not in the history books, and therefore in the minds of most Mexicans.

Mexico Discuss

September, known in Mexico as the patriotic month, always invites pause to reflect on what it means to be Mexican, which means Mexico in our beliefs, aspirations, concerns, desires, hopes, frustrations, sorrows and emotions. It is not easy to question what we have been taught since childhood to believe and not to think, which is handled in the collective unconscious, what we usually sell like a fairy tale.

But there have been few who have made a serious analysis of the Mexican, the Mexico of yesterday and today, the tragicomedy of our history, pity that those studies are those that put in our hands for basic education and usually not at the top, but it is possible to remove the blindfolds, to unleash the dream and aspire to build a Mexico to be proud.

During the month I will upload some post on this topic, seeking to find similarities and differences, an accompaniment in thought. Today I do not want to start with a negative mood, so I propose to recall the Beatles song " Today is a good day" .

In this land I saw my first light
I've seen and I see light, land and vast sky
All my environment is understood in love
That we had those long gone
And today a good day ago
To speak of those who are here every day
Charting
welfare of all who come
As the dawn sun precede journal
As we know that tomorrow will be the same
Because that has been done
Over the years that pass and go
In this land where I can walk
Under address you put my feet
always be time to come to him to sing
As most know
gift giving and gave me a place to be happy again I say
is my country, this is my land and house
And this is your song
A song like all that have been made
Only that this
want to mention all the good that I gave birth to this town
And my heart
Mexico to talk about
chest swollen I always
And if you look back
Where we start
And we find the old
That formed a
But one day they went and learned
say were great travelers crossed
That
here in this land I met Del
dignity that works for the growing of their own
The striving to overcome their condition
Even though crossing times of misfortune
And today a good day ago
To speak of those who are here every day
Charting
welfare of all who come
From the seed to reach the seed
That even this fertile one day arrive
And you do not want to repeat as
If I have said so much already
And talk of love is good
When you are sincere
And if they look back
From what I have to start
And we are
us a place That we
Have a nice day we will leave
And maybe you can say were great
travelers who crossed over here

can see and hear here.
